Greetings and Blessings to each of you!
Many of you might have heard at our first union last
month or at the board meeting that we have implemented a prayer ministry
for our Northern Union speared headed by the Women’s Department.
We have identified 16 women plus our chair Sis. Sandra Kerr and co-chair
Sis. Quinette Lawery who have committed to praying on a weekly basis for
our Northern Union and Association. We invite you to join us
any night of your choice Sunday – Thursday 9PM-10PM 605.562.3000
access code 386119#.
Prayer is always in order and necessary. Jesus
said in St Luke 18:1b that man is to always pray and faint not then in
Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if
two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall
ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
President Richardson in his first message stated that if we’re
going to turn our Union and Association around, do what has never been
done before it’s all going to be accomplished through and by prayer.
Those who were not in attendance we witness things that we have never
seen before during this last Union. The officers want to believe
it’s because we chose to make prayer our first priority.
President Richardson lead the officers in prayer
Tuesday night before the Union and then again Thursday and Friday night
before the services began. We saw people in attendance that we had
not seen in years, we met our financial obligation, women and youth
attend in record numbers and lastly and most importantly a young man
gave his heart to the Lord during the Thursday night service. We
want to witness the hand of God at our Union and in order for that to
happen we have to invite his presence there.
We want to continue our journey of prayer and we’re
asking that you join us in prayer by doing one of three things.
1.
Choose a night Sunday-Thursday call in to
our dedicated prayer line 605.562.3000 access code 386119# and
agree in prayer with us for the list attached and any needs identified
at the beginning of the call.
2.
Pray for the things on
the list during
your regular time of prayer or add them to your church prayer list.
3.
If you know anyone who is a prayer
warrior or intercessor ask them to reach out to the Prayer & Benevolence
Chairperson Sis. Sandra Kerr
sandrakerr@bellsouth.net or call 772-293-1329 24/7 she’ll will
be glad to add them to our regular distribution list and include them on
this vital and important ministry of our Northern Union.
We solicit your prayers as we continue to be about our
Fathers’ Business and do the work of the ministry. If you have any
questions please email Sis. Kerr or myself and we’ll be more than happy
to assist you.
Blessings and Peace be unto you!
